Abstract: In Sheka Zone, including Yeki District, maize (Zea mays L) yields are low because of low soil fertility, little and blanket fertilizer use. This field experiment conducted to evaluate NPSB fertilizer during 2018. The treatments laid out in a randomized complete block design with four replications. The treatments consisted of three NPSB levels (150, 200, and 250) combined with two-urea levels (100 and 150) kg ha-1 and two controls (200 urea + 150 TSP kg ha-1 and no fertilizer as control). Plant height and the number of ears per plant were not significantly (p 0.05) influenced as compared to the control and blanket recommended NP fertilizer.
